My birth year razor would be a Y2 '53 razor. I have no idea which one to buy. There are only a few choices but in lieu of that, I have a mid-1940's British Flat Bottom on the way. This will be a couple firsts for me..... first vintage, first DE I've purchased myself. Our son bought me a Lupo DE aluminum. I've been using a single edge AC razor since Feb. 18th. It should be interesting.

SE SOTD, Friday, July 29th 2022

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur AC 50mm- Mfg 2021, tame mid range, interesting head design, small head parts, chrome head fits blade accurately, I consistently get remarkable results and easy roaming the face.
Blade : Schick proline p30, 50mm- sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavada cream - nice pleasant upbeat mild minty lavender scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Viper 24mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft split end boar bristle hair tips, nice scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi Excalibur SE with a Schick proline 30 blade.
