I had a special day yesterday so ended up shaving twice ( :straight::straight: ). Granted, none of my products are from Above the Tie, but you can see my vendor support. Everything is laid out on a Lancaster Razor Works towel.

SOTD

Brush: APShaveCo 30mm Cashmere
Razor: Mongoose/Feather Loaded (13)
Soap: Queen Charlotte Soaps Wim's No.3 SE( made from a suggestion by B&B member Wimbouman.)
AS: Saint Charles Shave Rosa Damascena/Lemon

SOTN

Brush: Chubby 2 Synth
Razors: Parker Adjustable(5+)/Gillette Swede (18) from OBIC in February
: Muhle R41 (for buffing)/Personna 74 (?)
Soap: Same as Above
AS: Saint Charles Shave Savory Rose Shave Milk

SOTD & SOTN 2.jpg

After 2 passes that night, I had a DFS but wanted a little more and happened to glance at the R41 and a light bulb went off in my medulla. Using the R41 for just buffing alone helped take my DFS to BBS perfection. I never thought to do this previously, but now I will have to try it n the next few shaves just to see what happens.

@ClemsonTigerz - sorry to hear you tested positive more than once; hope you have a mild case and recover quickly!

Sunday Seaforth! SOTD- two passes for a DFS result, 9/10, no mishaps; another satisfying shave:

Razor: Beat-up Tech; it could use a replate :)
Blade: Perma-Sharp (3)- a little less sharp today, but still fine
Soap: Seaforth! Heather- very pleasant shave experience
Brush: Simpson Commodore X2 best badger
Post: cold rinse, then some Seaforth! Heather AS splash; a nice finish, albeit a bit sticky from the aloe in the splash

Happy Easter to you all!

I'm celebrating my all time favorite SB razor with its magical+ new big bore tailpipe GT Handle [made by my good friend Doug (@Rosseforp)]. As we all know, different handles make huge differences to razors. So here I am celebrating the best of the best (for this LHF).

1947 Flat Bottom Tech on the latest 15 gram GT Handle... departing for the shave:

And arriving back after its post-shave clean:

In case you thought we'd missed out the middle bit (i.e. the shave); here it is below. ⬇️

Soap: Phoenix Atomic Age Bay Rum
Razor: 1947 Gillette Flat Bottom Tech GT
Blade: King C. Gillette (14)
ASL: Clubman VIBR

An excellent shave.
I've been narrowing down what seems to be the best gear for me (for a long time) and I do believe that I've arrived. :w00t:

Happy shaves guys. :cornut:

SOTD - Easter Sunday April 17, 2022

Razor:
RazoRock German 37 Slant
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum (1)
Brush: Van Der Hagen Pure Badger Brush
Pre-Shave: Proraso White Pre Shave
Soap: Haslinger Sheep Milk Shaving Soap
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue, Duke Cannon A/S Balm
Growth: 47 hours
Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG
Rating: 10/10

Results: 2nd shave with my first slant razor, the RR German 37 Slant with HD handle. Very exciting! I shaved the same way I always shave with a light touch & didn't over shave. It was a very smooth & close BBS result on 3 passes, mowing down 2 days of growth. Dorco Prime Platinum is currently #1 on my Top 5 DE blades. No cuts, nicks, tugging or irritation. Great Shave! Note: I forgot to photo the Haslinger Sheep Milk shaving soap.

Monday MdC SOTD- two quick passes- in a rush to get ready and leave; CCS+ result, 8+/10, no mishaps, a good shave. For the next couple of days I'm staying at my daughter's house to watch my grandson:

Razor: RR Lupo AL- I'm taking this razor with me, so this one must be pretty good
Blade: Perma-Sharp (4)- blade is fading and the shave wasn't quite as close, so binned
Soap: MdC Nature- always great
Brush: Zenith P2 boar- for some reason I'm really enjoying this budget boar
Post: cold rinse, then some Humphrey's WH, I'll do some sunscreen before taking off

Have a great week!

Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: ABOVE THE TIE M2 con UFO Titan Fine

Blade: GILLETTE Bleue Extra

Brush: DELIPLUS pelo natural caballo

Pre-Shave: Agua templada

Lather: BOOTS Original Shaving Stick

Aftershave: MYRSOL Formula extra

Additional Care:

MYRSOL emulsión
