SOTD Theme Week with a local sports twist this week.

Let’s see some baseballs, football tickets, golf clubs, cricket bats, hockey pucks or anything sports related! Even a pair of your favourite snow pants or duck decoys would work! NFL playoffs are in full gear and there is a lot of hockey and basketball on currently. Let’s see your favourite teams and local flavour.… local golf courses, ice fishing spots, favorite college teams, etc.

And if you don’t have anything sports themed… post pics of your shave or just tell us about it!

As always, being creative and having fun IS mandatory but sticking with the theme is NOT mandatory but encouraged.

Very nice soap qualities with a pleasant scent together with the cooling & invigorating splash...whip-up easily with the excellent plush brush...
2nd shave with this Arkansas edge razor, strop on the Kangaroo leather...wow, very different feeling on this roo strop. Kinda sticky-magnetic-like draw and very enjoyable. This razor's edge smoothness feels different compared to all other razors I owned...interesting. 3passes for a dfs-sas result...

well, the Hoffman's is another of those soaps that is an absolute pleasure to shave with.. easily enough lather for 5 passes, so I did, because I could.. yeah, a real pleasure.

Comments	Second shave with the MdC soap. I have not used MdC in over a year and yesterday I forgot how little soap it takes to make a luxurious, rich lather. I loaded enough soap for at least 15 passes! Today I loaded far less soap but still got an incredible amount of rich, slick lather. If I had to pick only one soap to use for the rest of my life it would be MdC! The Paladin did a great job of making lather and it felt great on my face. The Mergress XL and Med Prep blade were equal to the task. A perfect shave. Have a wonderful day and week, folks.

Should have shaved with a Ti Bird. LOL. But no. Today was the Wolfman. I wish I had one of those Flying Eagle razors from the 70's.

ASRazor shave, January 23rd 2023

Razor : Ever-Ready 1924(AKA shovel head)- Mfg 1924-33, mid range, well built to last and has a different way of loading from rear. I receive excellent shaves with this razor & was a joy to use this Micromatic Monday morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(8) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to use.
Soap : Razorock Irish Country side, nice scent with excellent lather qualities. A great brush makes a difference.
Brush : Yaqi "Aqua" 24mm High mountain silver tip badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, excellent splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Slight prickliness at first when purchased new but it mellows out nicely(I enjoy this feeling) + excellent handle and a joy to use. It come from a different species of badger from my visual inspection of other badger brushes I own.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Ever-Ready shovelhead 1924 razor with a coated Gem blade.

Great shave this morning - its a cool morning with frost in North Texas, and going to get colder, maybe even snow tomorrow! I chose to shave with the Alpha Outlaw today - a very nice razor indeed, heavy in the hand but not too heavy, super mild but quite efficient, and love the feedback. Great razor and I think I'll keep it in the rotation. And then there's Clubman Special Reserve - just an awesome scent in my book, love it!
