SOTD - BIC Chrome Platinum Debut - Sunday Morning Feb 6, 2022

Razor: Weishi Classic C TTO - very mild razor, nice color, grippy handle, good balance, maneuverable
Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum (1) - sharp & smooth, very impressed
Brush: Frank Shaving G5 Synthetic 24mm - soft tips, very good lather generator & painter
Pre-Shave: Barbasol 1919 Classic Shaving Cream - nice fresh scent, very slick & excellent glide
Soap: Mike's Barber Shop (3) - great scent, easy to lather, outstanding performer
Aftershave: Old Spice A/S - smells great, it's a winner!
Growth: 50 hours
Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG, touchup
Rating: 9.7/10

Results: Since the Weishi is a very mild razor, I decided to blade up with the very sharp BIC blade. Hat tip @Messygoon for the BIC blades via his generous PIF. According to Refined Shave, the BIC is the 3rd sharpest new blade behind #2 Nacet & #1 Feather blade. BIC is the sharpest blade after shaving. The BIC Chrome Platinum are more reasonably priced vs the Feather. Relaxing Sunday afternoon shave with one of my new favorite soaps, Mike's Barber Shop. The hype is real. Fresh and clean Barber Shop scent. Beef Tallow and Kokum Butter make a creamy lather with good cushion. Shea Butter and Lanolin give excellent post shave feel. Outstanding performer. Warm water, bowl lathered, smooth, comfortable DFS+ result. No bloodshed or irritation. Very good shave. This was my debut shave with the BIC blade. Very impressed. Sharp & smooth. After several shaves, I'll see how BIC compares to Nacet & Feather.

Excellent soap! A lovely scent and a rich, creamy and slick lather!
An excellent & enjoyable shave with this razor on pasted balsa edge. Very smoothly & comfortably mowed down 3 days worth of growth in 3+passes without any irritation & issues for a mixed bbs/dfs/ccs result. Aftershaves were great too.
