Razor: Fatip Piccolo
Blade: Shark Super Chrome (1st use)
Brush: Omega 48
Cream: ARKO Hydrate
Aftershave: Mennen Skin Bracer
Second shave of shark week, went with ARKO Sharko (although cream not stick) and something with teeth (Fatip). The Super Chrome performed better than the Platinum, fairly comfortable no irritation and only one weeper (user error). Not the closest though, it didn't feel quite sharp enough. My Piccolo generally doesn't have any alignment issues, but one quirk is that Lord produced blades don't seem to agree with it, they seem a little tight on the top cap posts, so I struggled getting the two edges to have the same exposure, so one side was more agressive than the other, I've had the same struggle with the Lord Super Chrome too but not with any other brand. Also, I decided to shave off the mutton chops, first time I've shaved my cheeks in probably about 3-5 years (I genuinely can't remember the last time), the open comb made it a breeze.

New to me yesterday...so this is the first time I have used it.
A REALLY nice shave. The corrugations on the blade contribute to stability. I have yet to use a 'plain' one.

| Comments | This is the fifth consecutive shave with the Feather AS-D2 and a Feather blade. Today’s brush is a large synthetic: the 28 mm by Yaqi. I am not a big fan of most synthetic brushes but this one does a good jog. This was the 57th use of the Haslinger soap. The shave was perfect as is the weather today. Have a good day, folks. |

Razor : Star bar #4 lather catcher. Mfg 1919-20, tame mid range. Excellent design for its time and one of the last Lather catchers made by Star company(ASR brand). I concluded years ago this was my grail island razor and still up their with very few that can reach my Pinacol of a nice shave daily if wanted. Over 100 years young and still beating the competition in razor world. Good daily driver if you can find one IMO. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(2) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : TOBS Herbal sandalwood, very addictive scent 7/10 strength with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka Express" 26mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Very enjoyable brush to lather my face and surly one of my best synthetic brushes.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum and Sandalwood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :
or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=
Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Star bar lather catcher with a coated Gem blade.
