Reef Point Submariner today. 20 seconds to load Wild West Brushworks/Elite Razor Manchurian White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum Plus still in the Gillette NEW Short Comb. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Reef Point Submariner aftershave.

Thank you Patti. I was traveling and gave the ECO a whirl. It definitely had a different blade feel from the artist club Hawk. The blade is thinner obviously and not as rigid so there is more chatter and feel, but nice. This is also more pronounced since the 1/2 DE blade is rather flat and not curved in the head, giving it less torsional rigidity then a typical DE design using a full blade. The shave was not as close as some but I believe it was because I was getting used the flatter angle and did not want to push things. Still very enjoyable. I can't wait to give experience more of its unique shave style. So far so good.

The Ilfe, I am happy to report, is not just another pretty face. It can shave. And it has such a nice weight and balance in the hand.

WCS did a great job with Sequoia — but, sadly, they don’t seem to stock it anymore.

At long last after two weeks traveling I’m back home to my shaving rituals.
I’m still getting my bearings with the Rex but today’s shave was excellent.
Today’s star was the Kesar with its high density silvertip.

Trying this TOBS cream again before ordering a full tub. Incredible amount of lather. The small sample overloads my brush. Previously, TOBS Lavender gave me an allergic reaction. (I think due to its methylisothiazolinone preservative.)

Brush was, I think, NOS when I received it. First time using this brush as well. Soap lathered really well and easily. First pass with TNNSER 3D was near DFS. Unexpectedly, the lather disappeared mostly in the brush while doing the first pass shave. Not sure why. Added more soap and re-lathered for 2nd pass which was just a clean up. It’s been mentioned by others, this is a really good razor.

I was using MWF for the first time, I found it takes a bit of time to build a nice lather, and it delivered a nice comfortable 2 pass shave. The lather actually got nicer for the 2nd pass...........
