Great smooth shave, 2 pass BBS. No chatter or noise from this razor; hardly know it’s doing the job and paired with this blade, it smoothly glided over my face and cut down 2 days of facial hair growth.

First time using this soap and A/S. Very nice scent. Wish I bought the EdT as well.

This obviously wasn't about the razor, but the new soap -- a sample of Taylor of Old Bond Street Jermyn Street. It has a light floral scent . It lathers terrifically -- maybe the best lathering soap I've ever used. More than 10 years ago, I used another TOBS cream -- TOBS Lavender. That scent was a disaster. The lather was there, but my face turned red right away. Should have been called TOBS Lobster Red Cream. Must be allergic to some ingredient. Now it looks like it may well be that fragrance itself, as Jermyn Street produced no reaction. Whew. Excellent soap.

Really nice touch up shave today. The Merkur is really a perfect razor for shaving on a consecutive day. The SOC is getting better with every shave, and it's phenomenal at face lathering: plenty of backbone but it splays so easily. The Razorock soap was dense and slick, scent is totally great. Fantastic shave to enter the weekend.

Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.


Pears ~ Transparent Soap.


Brush: Omega 49.


Face Lather.


Soap : Vie Long Shave Stick.


Blade: GEM PTFE (Modified).(3)


Razor: Valet ~ Auto Strop VC1.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade menthol crystals +Eucalyptus peppermint,+ Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./Old Spice ~ Classic ASL.

Aloe vera Gel.

A new shave set up to start the weekend.

I enjoyed my week break away from the mill.It's been ages since i last used the valet auto Strop vc1 which is a pleasure to shave with, i've mentioned before that it's unbelievable how at ease and how quickly i've taken to this wonderful vintage SE lady, paired together with the modified gem ptfe blade was a smooth efficient duo mowing through my stubble with ease.

Second outing of the vie-long shave stick which my voluptuous italian omega 49 boar brush created a wonderful luxurious protective lather in a short space of time,the omega 49 is a superb brush for face & bowl lathering. Everything in my shave setup this morning worked together excellently,resulting in a wonderfully smooth 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling devine.

LASS Woody Lavender today. 20 seconds to load the Wild West Brushworks/Elilte Manchurian White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum Plus in the Gillette NEW Short Comb. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Clubman Whiskey Woods aftershave.
