I use Dollar Tree's non lathering shaving cream as pre shave and it works great...and it's a $1. I also bought 12 pack of Arko but I don't use it that often because of the scent. Arko works great but I bought C.O. Bigelow at Bath and Body works when they had buy 3 get 3 sale and love those.
