calling the soap done and the aftershave, finished them together, the soap has way less then it looks in the picture and when it takes 11 minutes to make a lather cause it just circles and circles and circles after letting dry out for a week it’s time to pitch it and move on! I got my money’s worth here let me tell you!

I shaved this morning with a Kai Captain Kamisori clone and my Eclipse Red Ring. The mug shave was initially a bit awkward, as I’m not in the habit of shaving with a kamisori style barber’s razor, but as the mug shave progressed everything seemed to fall into place. I used a Feather Softguard and ended up with a surprisingly close shave. The following dome shave was excellent as well leaving me feeling cool, velveteen smooth and refreshed.
RAZOR: Kai Captain Kamisori Clone (Mug), Eclipse Red Ring (Dome)
BLADE: Feather Softguard AC (Mug), Feather DE (Dome)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: Alpha Shaving T-400 Tribute w/ 26mm Boar Ferrule
SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH and Osage Rub. Finished with Pre de Provence Bergamot & ThymeBalm.
I injected a new blade for this first shave because I couldn't be sure of the one placed by the factory. This did not go smoothly but the fault could lie in the injector I used which was already in a fiddly state. The first pass was on setting 3 and it felt mild, kind of like a type L. For the remaining two passes I used setting 4, which feels like the sweet spot for me. At that setting it felt much like a type G. I give Parker high marks for this razor. This is the razor that I had been hoping Schick would come out with. If you have been considering an injector but don't like used razors this just might be what you need!

It was a late night of Thanksgiving prep and I probably should have just bagged it given the hour, but I was looking forward to using MWF and the Chubby 2 for the first time. So I did.
DFS on my face and CCS on my neck. For the first use of the Fat I think the lather was just okay. I built it surprisingly easily, but I don't think I ended up giving it enough water if I remember some tips I'd read correctly. If it hadn't been so late, I'd have checked them before I started.
The Chubby 2 was excellent. "Plush" was the word that came to mind.
