Prep: Neutrogena Razor Defense face scrub
Soap: Dapper Dragon Wassail
Brush: Omega 10290 🐗
Razor: Merkur 34C HD, shave #11
Blade: Vi-John Super Platinum, shimmed (#2)
Post: Alum -> shower. And face felt so good I didn't use anything else I intended

Two-pass DFS on my face and CCS on my neck. No feedback whatsoever from the alum. Hopped in the shower right after then straight to supper as it was late--didn't even get to the hyaluronic acid or Scale Polish balm as intended. And zero ill-effects from skipping--my face felt fantastic. I'm impressed with the soap, needless to say.

Soap: Haslinger Sheep milk
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Merkur (1) - The only included in the package
Brush: Yaqi Rainbow 26er
Alum: Osma
Aftershave: Witch hazel, floid metolado vigoroso lotion, Proraso sensitive balm

Rating: 7.5/10

The performance of the things used is pretty much known. The blade, however, is kinda dull and in the first pass especially didn't do much. This made me do 3 passes. Wtg, xtg and atg. Everything was going fine until I got to the third pass. As soon as I put the alum on my chin turned red. It also stung a lot and so did the floid aftershave. The proraso luckily was soothing. Now, about a half hour after my shave I have razor bumps. Like small red spots all over my chin area. I am sure it was the blade and that third pass. Plus, I had only shaved yesterday so i didn't have much hair to begin with.

Leisurely Afternoon Shallow Angle Shave

Preshave Prep: Hot Shower
Preshave: Proraso White Preshave
Brush: Razorock 400 Aluminum Handle Plissoft Knot (I love this brush)
Cream: TOBS Jermyn Street with a cold water rinse after pass one.
Razor: Rockwell 6S plate 4 using a shallow angle everywhere it was possible. (Under the nose, and below the sideburns on pass one).
Blade: Feather Hi Stainless shave #9
Postshave: Bosomo Alum Block, Hyaluronic Acid, First Aid Moisturizer
Postshave Treatment: Cold Water rinse followed by the Alum Block for one minute, after which the alum was washed off with cold water. Hyaluronic Acid applied to a damp face, followed by the First Aid Moisturizer (this stuff is awesome).
Results: Smooth trouble free shave that was BBS in most spots, but DFS in the rest. This shallow angle shaving is the bomb. I believe shallow angle not only results in a close clean shave, I believe it is extending the blade life. I can’t keep my hands off my face!

Prep: Neutrogena Razor Defense face scrub
Soap: MdC Agrumes
Brush: La Maison du Barbier synthetic
Razor: Merkur 34C HD, shave #12
Blade: Vi-John Super Platinum, shimmed (#3)
Post: Alum -> hyaluronic acid-> Stirling Lemon Chill

Another two-pass DFS on my face and CCS on my neck. No feedback from the alum. Always a treat to use my favorite soap. I didn't care for the Lemon Chill the first time I used it, and I still think it's too sweet-smelling for my taste, but man I love the face freeze!
