SOTD "FREE WEEK" November 11th - November 17th, 2019

Remembrance day on a MMMonday morning -20 C, so I choose a few razors that soldiers would of used during World War 1&2.
Not sure they would of shaved every day but at certain events they had to shave by military dress code I believe.

Razors : Everready 1914 + Gem MMCP 1945 Peerless model.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (1)
Brush: Omega boar
Soap: Williams mug
Preshave: Brush wash the face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of Aloe Vera on beard
Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse
Post shave : Pinaud Clubman with witch hazel + Nivea balm
Results : CCS,DFS,BBs + alum indicated minor irritation + 2 blemish weepers = :wink2:

SOTD 12 November

Deep forest walk in the Smokies in the late fall. That is EXACTLY what comes to mind with the scent of this wonderful soap from Stirling. The cedar, lichen, balsam, and sage are prominent to my nose anyway - what a beautiful combination.

Day 3 of my tour of 8 samples I picked up last week: Gatlinburg. As usual, a creamy, protective lather was easily built in my bowl after 20 seconds of loading on the sample puck (which no doubt will last me many, many shaves. A 1 ounce sample is well worth the $3.25 you'll spend to try out this excellent soap.

Pre-shave: hot shower and towel
Razor: Merkur 34D HC
Blade: Voskhod (#4)
Brush: Omega Pro 49
Bowl: Fine Accoutrements Ceramic Lather Bowl
Soap: Stirling Gatlinburg
Aftershave: Stirling Gatlinburg Splash

Thanks, the nickels are used for agitation when I first started traditional shaving looking for a lathering bowl or laundering my money every morning  . The bowl is excellent for lathering and I think I have 6 different ones and these work the best IMO.
Have some great shaves!
