I haven't used the standard R41 for a while, so I thought what about bringing it back into my rotation. Nice shave, close and effortless (however, I like the stainless steel version better due to its weight.).

The sharp BIC is a perfect partner for the R41. It beats every sharp blade in my den (Feather, Nacet, KAI... you name them). A blade which flies under the radar. I'm glad I tried them.

Mark Cross with twin BIC blades. I usually use an injector blade with the MC but the shave with the twin BICs is superb, just requires a few easy blade snaps.

My ridiculously expensive Yuma YM-403 has just been promoted to my favorite razor.

His Scritchiness (my Mixed Midget) is doing an excellent job. Performance wise he's just as good as my beloved Semogue Mistura... so hopefully MMM will soften him up a bit.

The rest of the team did exemplary work too.

Today’s Shave

Razor: Gillette Bottom Dial (freshly caught in the wild.)
Blade: Rapira Platinum Plus
Soap: Palmolive
Brush: Razorock 400

First shave with a white whale. Pretty much the same shave as any other razor, once you figure out the balance This is a strange one. As you would think it is bottom heavy. It isn’t, nor is it really head heavy. The weight is more centralized.

I found that there is a small window for my grip to get the feel I like. I found it half way through the first pass of three. I started at 5 and after 2 cheek strokes. I dialed it up to 7. I stayed there for the remaining 2-1/2 passes. I did dial it down to 3 for some touchup using only water.

I will be using this razor for the next week. All in all a DFS. COOL factor off the charts.

This razor will be a keeper and will be used.

Top-quality performance soap! Just a little makes a thickly creamy and very slick lather...with a mild pleasant scent.
Shave with razor paired with the blade was very good. Smooth and comfortable for 3passes without any issues for a mostly bbs result. Great session capped-off by excellent aftershaves.
