Second shave w Ikon x3 - shark SC blade. Switched to the shorter handle and liked it better but using this razor feels a bit strange. It gives a close shave but seems like the angle has to be just right. Don't see a benefit over my other razors.
Brush: Shavemac Olive Wood 20/44 Silvertip 2-Band Soap: Vitos Red Razor: Fatip Lo Storto Originale with custom olive wood handle Blade: Tatra Platinum (1) ASL: Proraso Red
As this is an experiment I was focusing pretty intently on the blade. It certainly "feels" a lot different to my usual Polsilver SIs/Wizamet ISs, but different in a way I can't explain... not good or bad different, just different. I guess I'll get to know it better after a few more shaves.
The shave itself was just fine, ending up with my usual BBS.
Surprisingly, when I slapped on the good ol' Proraso Red ASL there was only the teeniest tingle... a bit less than I'm used to. Maybe that was due to my awareness of a new and different blade, I guess I'll find out over the next few shaves.
For the sake of the experiment all parameters of, and equipment for, each shave will remain the same. I'm going to use @BigJ's 10 Point rating system for the shave quality:
14 years ago today, I happily tied the knot with this beautiful woman. In honor of that special day, today's shave features a 114 year old (#450112) single ring!

Ah fabulous shave tonight!
Very close and comfortable.
I hadn’t used this Slim for awhile but I knew it would perform well with this blade. Set it up high on 9 and it just mowed the whiskers down. Rather quickly I must say. I had only a little more than a days growth of beard this time but honestly I’m getting used to daily shaving.... beard seems to grow faster when I look forward to that next shave. Adrenaline perhaps?

Greetings,
Face & head Shave.
A new shave set up to start the weekend.
This week will be a chinese clone razor week...Starting with the Jagen David B30 a chinese super-speed clone which has a good weight & balance to it, the moving parts are all in smooth working order with no uneven blade alignment or aggression gap difference or any safety issues that will cause injury to myself when shaving.
The silver star super stainless is my favourite blade to come out of the lord camp, a very sharp efficient but smooth blade that matched up with the non-aggressive JD B30 wonderfully.
A enjoyable 3 pass +pick ups near BBS face & head shave with no errors to report.
Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of L'OREAL ~ barber club reinforcing ASB.
My face & precious swede are feeling super smooth and smelling divine.
Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.
