Razor: Oristo
Blade: Derby "Premium"
Post: GBS alum block
Balm: CeraVe Moisturizer
Frag: Bigelow Barber Elixir Black
*Figured I'd try to slick things up, again
using CeraVe as a pre-shave. Did something
different this time, though: wet my face, rubbed
the bar over my beard, then waited for a few
minutes to let the stuff soak in before lathering up

That short period of waiting and soaking seemed
to make a big difference in the slipperiness of my
lather--something that was foremost in my mind
after yesterday's bloodletting.

Had a great shave without opening
up yesterday's wounds. All is now
well with the world.

Stay healthy, everyone!

Liquorice and Magnolia…facial opiate
Yes, this shave was all about the scent. I love this understated Extro combination so much I start thinking about it during the day, or when I wake up in the morning . I can’t say I was really paying attention to the rest of the shave, but the fact I used an unknown blade and had a great shave without paying any notice speaks for itself.

This razor never disappoints no matter what blade I use. A nice, smooth, close BBS shave. 5th and final shave with this combo.

Captain's Choice travels continue taking us to...
The first day of the Captain's Three day voyage: 45th Parallel
Brush: Parker Synth Brush
Bowl: Shave Nation
Lather: Captain's Choice Venture Soap
Razor: Gillette 1959 E4
Blade: Feather (1)
Post: Shavex Alum Block
Post: Thayers Witch Hazel
Balm: Captain's Parallel

This one was a bit problematic for me in that I struggled to make a good lather. It was literally bonding to the razor.
I suspect the issue was with the guy actually creating the lather so I'll give it another go tomorrow. It has a nice fresh scent that is great for summer!
