Arko is such a polarizing soap, but i love it. Has a cool retro graphic on the cover that i enjoy. I don’t even find the scent off putting ( which some people do ). It’s a lemon scent to me. Builds a quick, smooth lather for a no nonsense shave everytime. If you live on a budget ( like me ) and don’t like spending $20-$30 plus tax+shipping on soaps and creams everytime, then you can’t go wrong with Arko. I firmly believe that expensive products do not necessarily mean better shaves.

The razor of choice was my Weishi adjustable on the most aggressive setting with an Astra inside. The brush was my Wilkinson Sword. Has a very firm backbone and seems to work wonders with hard soaps.

A dab of Nivea cooling aftershave Balm to end what was an excellent Wednesday shave

Post: alum -> hyaluronic acid -> Ogallala Bay Rum aftershave

First use of the original Mamba and it was a good shave. Two passes plus neck touch ups for DFS all around. Does seem a tad milder than the Mamba 70 and I had less feedback from the alum as a result.
