Brush: Blackland Signature
Soap: Arko Hydrate Cream
Razor: Shield GEM
Blade: GEM PTFE
Post: MEN-U Matte Balm

Shave on the fly this morning, over Leeds way to take the Mrs out. Family taking care of the little one. Cracking shave, the GEM is very very good and I don't particularly miss the polish so it'll do.

Smooth and and ready for a decent day/night out!

Hope everyone has a grand one.

Cheers

Marc

The second shave in a row with the 37C and Wizamet blade. Another smooth and close shave. I have not used this combo for some time since I have quite a few razors in my rotation. As a result, I tend to forget how good this razor is. It provides a close but smooth shave. Today’s brush is a Shavemac I won in a Sue Auction a few years ago. This brush heightened my interest in Shavemac knots and resulted in subsequent purchases of such brushes. Today I used up most of the PAA Mysterium Serum. Have a great day, gents.

Notes to today’s shave:

Final run with the PermaSharp blade as far as I am concerned. It was smooth and comfortable. And the shave was super close! I would say R41 close but much smoother and less raking. I did avoid to go ATG on the upperlip too much, but other than that very smooth bordering on marble on my cheeks and left jawline.

Further details to this shave and more can be found here.

This was a fantastic shave. Enjoy yours today!

Hello friends,

Today the day dawned colder around here, 19°C to 24°C in few minutes…which for our summer is a beautiful fresh morning, suitable for a stronger aroma.
My 4 day old beard was completely removed for a BBS that only R41 can give me. The SV Desert Vetiver has such a combination of aromas that it encouraged me to go to Guerlain Vetiver EDT after the Malizia AS which despite beind very light, I like a lot. SOC Boar and Gillette Nacet (4) beautifully completed the shave.

Along with me, my old friends from The Modern Jazz Quartet on the sublime classic Django.

Have a nice weekend and great shave!❤️ 🪒
