SOTD "FREE WEEK" March 29th - April 4th, 2021

First time using a boar in 11 years. Finished a week and a half break in and ready to put it to use.

Pre: sanctuary triple cleansing mousse, lather up, hot towel to the face, bluebeards revenge preshave oil
Brush: yaqi 24mm purple haze
Cream: GFCC Caribbean lime
Razor: ikon B1 slant oss
Blade: Astra SP
Post: Pinaud clubman, Bart’s Balm Ben Cruachan

DFS++ achieved with 2 weepers

Went for new preshave routine - after washing the face, lathered up, massaged the lather in for couple minutes, then put hot towel to the face for another 2 minutes (warming it up once more after 1 minute), then preshave oil and time to lather up. Feels like the facial hair did soften up quite a bit due to that.
First time using GFCC Caribbean lime - have used their bergamot and neroli before. Caribbean lime performs really well - beautiful cushion and slickness. Scent wise - quite sublime - for my preferences I’d like it to be a notch stronger!

Razor performed quite well, paired it with familiar to me Astra SP - and it was a beautiful match. Couple weepers due to fault of my own. OSS handle is quite a bit longer than what I am used to, but that wasn’t much of an issue.

finished off with splash of newly arrived pinaud clubman (that brought a healthy dose of tingling) followed by lime balm by BartsBalm.

Blimey lime it was sublime (sorry couldn’t help myself there haha)

Comments	Using the small guy today: T&H Silvertip. For a small guy it sure makes some good lather and feels nice to the face. The Wolfman and Personna Lab make for a smooth, efficient shave.

Razor: Razorock 2nd gen Lupo.72-Mfg 2021, excellent design & materials, positive blade exposure, carefree shave today.
Blade: Gillette Polsilver Super Iridium(2)- Excellent blade with great longevity, Sharp & smooth.
Soap: Haslinger Schafimilch, mild fresh scent and excellent lather qualities, great post shave feel.
Brush: Yaqi Timberwolf whiskers 24mm, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips + excellent scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock XXX aftershave with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 + a Polsilver super iridium.
It does not get much better for me with todays shave!
