From my first introduction of the proraso eucalyptus & menthol aftershave it became a instant favourite, it's scent, to my nose YMMV smells nothing like the soap

I found this with the Blue as well. The balm has a much softer scent, it lacks the sharper notes of the cream.

Great lather from soap & brush combo. Shave with razor paired with blade felt good. Smooth and sharpish. 3 pass usual ATG, XTG/ATG & ATG. Some weepers due to the diagonal atg passes.
Ice cold water rinse followed Thayers. DFS results with rating of 8/10 today.

Razor looks good. How does it shave?

Very nicely. After putting the bulldog handle on it, it has the weight I’m used to & I’m quite pleased with the efficiency.

SOTD, Sat March 28th 2020

Razor: Gem Junior Parade with baton handle variant - Mfg 1943 one of my favorites!
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (9) great blade!
Soap: Razorock Don Marco - excellent citrus scented soap.
Brush : Razorock Plissoft synthetic going strong for the last 3 1/2 yrs. Excellent brush!
Pre shave : brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep : cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock Emperor aftershave with witch hazel + Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = just a great shave today!

An absolutely life-affirming shave. I love the appearance and performance of my newly acquired long handle Blackbird in machined finish.
The Blackbird and vintage Gillette Swede chuckled with contempt at my coarse 5 day growth, and effortlessly scythed me smooth.
I was at DFS after two passes, but the shave was going so wonderfully well that I performed a third ATG pass for a BBS finish.

The old world charm of the TOBS sandalwood cologne was a great way to finish.
