SOTD:
Razor - Timeless SS 0.95 open comb
Blade - Gillette 7 O'clock Green
Brush - Pennello Cavallo resin/horn 24mm HD silvertip
Cream - WCS Fougere
A/S - Proraso Cypress and Vetiver balm

An "all-green" shave today (even the blade by happy accident), and the razor really delivered. This blade is new to me, and it seemed pretty smooth and fairly sharp. The blade and razor teamed up to deliver a terrifically close shave with no irritation/redness/weepers. I liked this almost as much as the Astra. My face feels awesome, and I'm really looking forward to using the Timeless again tomorrow. Keep safe and enjoy your shaves, gentlemen!
Lovely brush!

Gel: Elegance Plus "Earth"*
Razor: Mamba 70
Blade: Astra green (7)
Post: GBS Alum block
Balm: CeraVe
Frag: Vera Wang Men
*Uber distracted today.
Spent too much of it online following the world's misadventures,
hence the abbreviated shave (which was pretty good, actually).

Parker 87R razor
Rapira Swedish Supersteel blade (4)
Pre de Provence No. 63 soap
Semogue 830 boar brush
Timeless Razor lather bowl
Osma alum block
Nivea Sensitive aftershave balm
Dame Perfumery Herb Man fragrance

I have to admit, I think I added too much water into the lather this morning, and it dissipated. Fortunately, it was still slick enough to get a good shave, but I was frustrated with the lather overall.

Good evening. I hope everyone is being mindful with their shaves as everything is about Covid-19. I am new to wet shaving. I’ve been wet shaving for about probably eight or nine months. Today’s shave consisted of using the Rockwell 6S on setting three and using Viking mild blade. For the soap I use Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements future fiction. I lathered using The collapsible travel bowl from Sterling and the Green Ray brush from PAA. For the aftershave I used Nivea sensitive. Overall I got a great shave. However, I feel that the mild blades from Viking pull on my hair.
As a side comment, I like Astra SP’s. However, I feel it’s hard to get those blades out of the package due to the glue they use to hold the blade in place. Does anyone have any suggestions to remedy that problem?

Thank you,
Greetings from South Texas

Today's shave was a test of my honing ability. I took the C-MON to the 12k naniwa then to the jnat I have again. The result was definitely better. Still not as good of an edge as it should be but a definite huge increase in performance. last time i used it i could not shave my neck as it was so rough it actually hurt to use. This time I had a little bit of razor burn. The first part on my neck was the worst. I think I had the angle off at the beginning of my neck. I was also in a rush and I know I didn't build the right lather with the proraso red tube I have. But all in all a decent shave. I do think I'm going to halt using the jnat for the time being and work on getting a great edge on the naniwa first. The razors I have gotten from shave armory were finished on just the 12k naniwa and I love the shave they give. I do have the same 12k naniwa so I think it would be best to just start and get the smooth shave I get with shave armory razors then work on adding in the jnat.

SOTD:
This week i decided to use my South African made soaps exclusively, and boy was i glad that i did! I forgot how good the reitzer perfect shave is, super slick soap, i just absolutely hate the small diameter container, so ill have to remove the puck and load the brush from a larger container.

The palmshave performed wonderfully too, definitely one of my slickest creams, even though quite a lot is needed to get a decent lather.

Ive forgotten how well the derby extras perform, they're definitely one of my favourite blades even though theyre on the opposite end of the spectrum compared to my favourite blades the feather's. They really have impressed me with their longevity, and for the price the derbys are definitely hard to beat.

Went to a new shop today that sells imported goods and found these two beauties at a bargain price!

I should have enough aftershaves for the next decade now lol.

Shave 1:
Razor: Wilkinson sword classic
Blade: derby extra (3)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave
Cream: palmshave lime
Aftershave: brut by Fabergé

Shave 2:
Razor: Wilkinson sword classic
Blade: derby extra (4)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave
Soap: reitzers perfect shave
Aftershave: brut by Fabergé

Shave 3:
Razor: Wilkinson sword classic
Blade: derby extra (5)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave
Soap: bundubeard coffee
Aftershave: brut by Fabergé

My shaving posts will definitely be getting more frequent, at 7:30 last night the president announced that the entire South Africa Will be going into lockdown for 21 days starting on Thursday at midnight.
