Reached for the Merkur 37C today to get rid of the scruff. An efficient little beasty it is. Loaded up with a Kai SS.

I believe I will be headed on a run of CBL soaps and carrying on from Black Rose Oud today’s choice Norse Spice. Light off the tub is the scent to me anyway but a typically excellent performing soap from Chris.

Simple two pass DFS achieved. Call your family and check in on your neighbours. Enjoy your shaves.

Continuing to use the T&H Ultimate Comfort cream. Today's brush is a Frank Shaving synthetic. The razor: a Wolfman SS SB 1.05 with a Personna Medical Prep blade. Aftershave was some Thayers Rose Petal WH and Clubman. The fragrance was Yves Saint Laurent.

Second shave with a Merkur 34c. Found it too mild last time so tried with a Gillette platinum blade this time. A little closer but I still my prefer my EJ DE89. I have found that when a razor is too mild with my standard Shark Super Chrome blades, a sharper blade never makes enough of a difference to overcome the mildness.

Overall nice smooth shave with no nicks.

I should mention this was my first shave with the razor, and it was a good shave. I'm still trying to dial in getting the best lathers with my badger and boar hair brushes and with my new lather bowl, but it was still good. I haven't used this blade in a while, and I would say it's pretty sharp at least initially. On first impression, I'd say the Platinum Lux is still sharp but probably a bit smoother.
