Where did the week go? Sunday June 14 shave - Frosty the Snowrake!
Prep - Shower, facial wash and scrub. Razor - Mühle R41 Blade - Gillette 7 o’clock super stainless (2) Brush - Razorock Tuxedo Plissoft Snowman Soap - Wickham 1912 Vegetal - Club Cola Post shave - Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol Aftershave Lotion & LEA Sensitive Aftershave Balm
I had a guest appearance in this shave from Thing of the Addams Family:
All in all folks, one of my most enjoyable shaves this year. My Razorock Snowman aka Frosty has proven to be one of my best purchases. Feels great, lathers soap very well:
No nicks at all from the rake/beast. Paired up very nicely with the 7 o’clock super stainless. Really liking the scent of the Club Cola soap from Wickham. It does remind me of Coke with a slice of lemon in it BUT I can also get why some have likened it to ginger beer too.

Razor - Super Kikuboshi 6/8" this was the razor I fell in love with when I started shaving with a striaght. It was my white whale. A little over a year later and I still love it just as much as I did the first time I saw it.
Strop - Red Imp 700c
Brush - Rick Montalvo I'm not sure what knot is in it. I bought it used. It feels like a 26mm knot.
Soap - Stirling for him
Aftershave - Crabtree & Evelyn West Indian Lime Balm
Pre: CeraVe Bar Gel: Elegance Plus* Razor: Hone Type 15** Blade: Astra green (7) Post: GBS alum block Balm: CeraVe Moisturizer Frag: Vera Wang Look
*As I have a two-liter dispenser of this stuff,
I thought I'd best up my consumption
before I die.
Vying for "I'll-never-finish-it-all" honors here are several thousand blades, plus a kilo brick of Cella,
Ain't shaving a great money-saver?

**Getting better and better shaves with the Hone.
Finding the razor's "sweet spot" includes choking
up on the handle, and holding it close to its head.
Makes all the difference, especially when
shaving my upper lip (WTG only for me).
The Hone is the mildest of my mild razors, which include a Feather AS-D2,
an Oristo, and a Mamba 70. With the exception of my upper lip,
it's almost pointless to shave WTG with this razor.
I just go all out with one big ATG/XTG pass,
and that works just fine for me.
At 185 grams, the Hone feels like it ought to handle like a truck.
Instead, it's quite nimble, once you figure out where best to hold it (which I imagine is a matter of personal preference).
Once dialed in, the Hone is a nimble and efficient performer.
Plus, its looks are totally unique.
(I know, I know, I should include pictures.
They're coming. I promise they've coming.) Stay healthy, everyone!
