The soap smells great upon opening the lid...missed it. Qualities were good too...creamy and slick. The star is the brush...wow!! Softest badger knot in my den!! Incredibly soft and feels so good for face lathering...
Shave with the GD again but this time not as good, although no incident but just unable to remove whiskers at trouble areas efficiently. Perhaps my skill is insufficient as yet...and thus use the AC razor as clean-up. 2 passes with the GD and last atg with the AC. Good practice using the straight anyway. Aftershaves were nice...the bayrum sure is strong...

Alas, the heat is hitting here

Stay healthy, everyone!

I absolutely loved todays shave after a week with my Roedter 1909. It didn't end up at the dermatologist or the ER. It was a smooth worry free dfs shave. There was no post shave feedback, no redness, no blood. I'm really pleased with this line up. My Muhle r89 is a razor I've undervalued until now. It may be my favorite razor. We'll see how the goes. I'm looking forward to whole week of uneventful shaves. That's my goal and I'm sticking to it.

I have a Ben Hur slant in the post so figured I'd go slanty this week in preparation. Kai blades today in the Wanton Destruction Old Type Slant and the Fatip OCS. The Old Type Slant can get toothy if you don't get the angle right but I found it particularly easy going on my head where it did a great job. The Fatip is considerably less demanding and quite efficient. Not much left but Tom White's Slant waiting in the wings for tomorrow took care of some tiny pick-ups. Great fun today.

Another shave with the Timeless and Med Prep blade. So far, this is the 8th shave. Still working on the GD Amare soap: 49th shave. Not much soap left and expect to finish it up this week. Nevertheless, a superb shave. Have a great week, gents.
