So today was supposed to be another OC but I decided to forego it and reach for my Delta Eco Slim! This little beauty is originally a 1964 Gillette Slim Adjustable that got the wonderful Delta Echo treatment part of the Cubano Edition. From a buddy down in Kentucky who goes by Dave...yes, that @Dave in KY...

Equally awesome was the soap of the day CBL Barbershop which has incredible scent and makes an incredible lather...only shame is you run out of things to shave before it gives up the lather! The Simpson Colonel X2L made easy work of this soap! Lathered up and off we went...

Wonderful two pass DFS was achieved. Topped off with Clubman and a spritz of English Laundry Tahitian Waters EDP. Now that is the perfect Sunday shave after a day filled with chores on this Canada Day long weekend! Now we grill!! To all those enjoying this fine weekend where ever you may be...take care, safe travels and happy shaves all.

Rating: 5 / 5

  • Pre: Purell Healthy Soap Cucumber
  • Soap: Pure Silk Sensitive Skin
  • Razor: Rockwell 2C -- R3 plate
  • Blade: Derby
  • Post: Alum Crystal
  • Aftershave: Nivea Cooling Post Shave Balm Sensitive
First use of the R3 plate on my Rockwell 2C. Yep, it's more aggressive. I did feel the blade.
The R3 makes the shave more efficient, clearing stubble with less effort. But it left my neck with three cuts. Ultimately, my XTG technique on the neck is no match for this setup. The result was at least DFS, but the cuts are big negatives for me. I can put a Feather in a standard DE to get cuts, though probably more than this. R2 might be perfect, but this being the 2C, it ironically doesn't include the R2 plate.

Hey, Guy, I have a pretty nice Lady Gillette with starbursts and everything. Interested in a swap for your Toggle? :a2:
I would be a terrible friend if took the Lady Gillette from you hands. The Toggle is a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE shaver and not to mention exposed blade ends to slice and dice one's fingers and legs
