Have some great shaves!

Weds January 8

My first shave in 2020. I took a break from shaving for a bit, last shaved Christmas eve. Needed to use a good OC to knock down 2+ weeks of growth and picked my Leresche #54.

Bowl/Scuttle - GP12
Soap - Le Pere Lucien
Brush - Alpha Outlaw Titanium v2 Fanchurian
Blade - Feather HI SS (5)
Razor - Leresche #54
Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, Stirling Mountain Man A/S

Shave rating 5 of 5

Happy New Year, best of luck and health in 2020 and great shaves everyone.

Preshave: Proraso White preshave cream
Brush: WestCoastShaving Synthetic Two-Tone Tall 26/56
Soap: Cyril R. Salter "Fresh Mint" (SC)
Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable 109
Blade: Wilkonson Sword /Germany (4)
Postshave: ice cold german tap water, Nivea Aftershave Balm...

Smooth 3-pass shave... again, I increased the setting in the final pass (atg) from 5 to 7... it appears I really can recommend this ascending order on the settings for the purpose of avoiding irritation on my neck. But it is way to early for a final judgement.
And as always... YMMV.

Razor: Supply Single Edge 2.0 Steel in matte black
Blade: Schick Injector
Brush: Ocean Tortoise Shell Pure Bristle
Pre-Shave: Neutrogena Shave Cream
Lather: Essence of Scotland Malt and Myrtle
Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman
Additional Care:
Thayers Facial Tonic Witch Hazel Unscented
Pinaud Finest powder

Italian stallion!

Went all Italian this morning (except the blade).

Used my Omega starter kit soap and boar brush. (Think the soap is actually a Proraso rebrand)
Proraso preshave cream and aftershave lotion
FaTip Piccolo with a Derby Premium.

Nice BBS, the Derby was smooth and left me relatively irritation free considering I shave every day and obsessively chases BBS.

Prep: Shower
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush: Savile Row 3824
Razor: Feather Artist Club SS Non-folding
Blade: Feather AC Pro, 2nd shave
DE Backup for final pass: Merkur 37C Slant with Personna Med Prep
Post: RazoRock Alum Stick, Nivea Sensitive Post-shave, CeraVe cream (in that order)

Second shave with the new Feather AC SS, for first and second pass + touchups on neck and jaw. DE for the final ATG pass and chin. Great BBS on almost all areas. Mild irritation in some spots from being a little aggressive with the AC.

Terrible disappearing lather today with MWF. Still learning how to use it with LA water after years of wonderful results with Boston's soft water.

Keep at it with the SS. You'll soon be there. Take your time, respect it, and use the slickest soap you can. Once you master it, even the most aggressive DEs become manageable.

Let’s try something new! The Colonial General SE - SS is raved about by many and this one is just in from A buddy. The first thing you notice about the razor is the weight and the solid build quality. Balances well and pretty impressive in the hand. Loaded up with a new Schick Pro Line AC blade.

Soap of choice today was First Line Shave Blue which is a ringer for CK Eternity. Lovely soap for a great cause. Truly enjoyable beyond the scent it lathered well and was slick. The matching AS was very nice and post shave feel was phenomenal.

Lots of lather so I went for a three pass shave however, I would have been quite happy with the results after one! BBS achieved in the end! The General is mild and smooth but mows down the beard quite efficiently! I have an iKon El Jefe that is practically terrifying to use and isn’t anywhere near this beauty in efficiency and smoothness. I can see why people rave about the Colonial General.
