Razor - Merkur 15C
Blade - Astra SP (?)
Brush - Muhle 23mm Silvertip Fibre
Cream - TOBS Sandalwood
A/S - Supply Arenella Coast

A nice fast shave this morning. I dunno, with a good blade in the 15C, you can just fly with it. It's such an unassuming little razor, but the thing is awesome, and still gives great shaves for such a mild piece. Going back to TOBS after a couple months was a real treat too; this is still one of my top scents out of everything I've tried, I just love it. The Muhle brush is becoming one of my favorite synthetics, possibly supplanting the tuxedo knot in my mind. It splays well, is super soft, and still has decent backbone for the loft it's set at. Super nice shave today.

Excellent shave today with my AS-D2 and Stirling’s Glacial Obsidian shaving soap and matching AS. I’m always amazed at the closeness of the shave delivered by this razor. When I first bought the razor, I thought, like many others, that it was too mild. That was until a friend on another board suggested that I only use Feather blades, and that I should experiment with the correct shaving angle. His suggestion to ride the bar throughout the shave proved cogent. I discovered when I did so, that not only was the razor NOT mild, but that it was highly efficient. The neutral to slightly negative blade exposure was at its optimum cutting power when riding the bar. The result then, and every day since for me has been a near, if not complete BBS, when shaving with this razor with virtually no blade feel. Seki’s engineers really understand safety razor cutting dynamics.

In conclusion, the Stirling soap combined beautifully with PAA’s Preshave Cube provided a near BBS of both head and dome.
I feel cooool, smooooth, and refreshed!

RAZOR: Seki AS-D2
BLADE: Feather
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by PAA’s Charcoal-Menthol Cube Preshave Soap
BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger
SOAP: Stirling Glacial Obsidian
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with Glyce Glycerin soap followed by Thayers Lavender WH and finished with Stirling Glacial Obsidian AS Splash

This makes me really want to try the AS-D2; nice write-up.

Had such a good experience with this brush last time I wanted to give it another whack. I have (for me) too many brushes and none of them get the love they deserve, I need to figure out some kind of pattern where I can use one for a solid week or something.

Merkur started on 3 and quickly went to 4, I think I might amp this thing up to the top just to see what happens...dig on it, even though it's a little bulky/heavy.

YRP is just straight awesome....I love this scent so much and even though P doesn't really like it it's one I won't ever give up.

9/10 just because this razor has the same problem my Timeless had, it's too bulky for the problem area under my jaw and can't get close enough.

Personna Lab (1)
Barbasol Sensitive in Can

Been awhile since I used a Lab Blue blade as I’ve been out of them for some time. Wow! Iam impressed with the smoothness of these blades when used in this razor. I took off a 3 day growth which is longer than I usually shave but with the canned cream I got a great shave, very comfortable and almost cushiony. I’m kinda wishing that these Personnas were the only blade that I use now to simplify things a little. I’d be supporting workers in the USA too.

Mod Cabin Glacier preshave oil
GP G20 scuttle
Kell’s Original Amber Ultra Aloe soap

Timeless Titanium .95 Scalloped razor
Feather blade
WCS Alum bar
Thayer’s Lavender WH
Captain’s Choice Bay Rum AS balm
