Razor - Razorock SLOC w/ UFO handle
Blade - Astra SP (3)
Brush - Morris & Forndran Style 1 26mm 2-band finest badger
Soap - Ariana & Evans Cafe Au Lait
A/S - Brickell unscented balm

Heck of a shave today! I've recently incorporated some changes in my technique that allow me to clean up my jawline and difficult spots on my neck more efficiently, and doing this today with the SLOC resulted in a two-pass shave with NO pick-ups that was super clean and smooth. I NEVER have zero pick-ups to take care of, so this was pretty astonishing. The SLOC is a terrific razor; its angle is very intuitive and easy to find, it glides smoothly (especially with A&E), and I've found is really super efficient. A lot of people describe it as pretty mild, but I do find it can still bite you. It actually gave me a little weeper on the flat of my cheek, which never happens, but eh, that's no big deal. I love the shave I got out of it today; a keeper for sure.

I am liking the M&F brush, but even after several uses it does have a lot more scritch than I like for a face lather, so I might start using it exclusively to bowl lather. Which, I dunno, seems like a waste for a high-quality, hand-tied knot, and it generates lather on the face really well, having an ideal mix of backbone and splay, but I don't know if I can get used to the face feel.

Yeah, that's kinda odd!

As a result, random SOTD threads are being rejuvenated even more so than usual. It argues the case for closing the threads when the time's up. I know that cuts off communication, particularly if there are continued conversations relevant to the thread, but otherwise, consider having monthly SOTD threads. I don't know if the software can handle that or not. At either rate, it gets confusing.
