The Shave: Two passes, one XTG the second pass ATG. Warm water rinse between passes, cold water rinse after the last pass. Alum block applied and allowed to sit for a minute. Cold water face rinse followed by cold water all over the head. Hyaluronic Acid applied followed by the CeraVe moisturizer.

Christmas 2019 I asked MERshaving if he could do me a favor and put a picture of my boy Art on the lid of his MBS soap of 4 containers so I could give them as Christmas gifts for My son's and 1 one for a great friend and of course one for me ☺
Glad Dave did this!

Prep: Noxzema
Pre-Shave: Noxzema
Soap: Valloloko Free Dive
Brush: Parker pure badger travel brush
Razor: Gem Micromatic Open Comb, shave #14
Blade: Gem PTFE, #11
Post: Alum -> hyaluronic acid-> Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum aftershave

Last night with the MMOC and a two-pass CCS. Not getting to DFS may be due to wear on the blade and/or the soap, which was not slick. Minimal alum feedback, though.

Razor: RR German 37
Blade: PIR
Brush: Simpson Trafalgar T2
Bowl: Timeless
Soap: Maggard London Barber Shop sample
A/S: Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue
First use with the German 37 and London Barbershop. The razor was great! Very smooth with just the right amount of blade feel. The soap has a great scent, but I think I need to use a bit more of the sample next time. Lather was a bit lacking today. Great shave overall though!

Brush: Semogue Torga-C3 Finest Mistura 22/49
Soap: Rasozero Agrumella
Razor: Timeless SSSlim OC (on my favorite WFSR handle)
Blade: Nacet (4)
ASL: Rasozero Agrumella

Albeit the first time round with this razor, I managed a pleasant BBS shave.

Timeless say "There is a lot of blade feel with this razor but it is smooth and efficient if done correctly." I would say that's spot on, and I certainly need more practice (aiming for the impossible "perfection" as ever ). Hopefully today's shave wasn't just beginners luck.

For me the geometry of the razor says "the steeper the better." That's the reason I didn't purchase a Timeless handle as their shortest appears to be 85mm. My WFSR handle is 80mm long and I like it very much... but my favorite handle length is in the 70mm to 75mm range for superior maneuverability and being able to stay close to my face/neck for all the nooks and crannies. How other "steep anglers" manage with 100mm vaulting poles is beyond me (maybe they just have bigger and flatter faces and necks than me).

Whatever, it's good that we're all different. :yesnod:

Happy Shaves all y'all. :cornut:

Sat 9th Gillette Weekend SOTD
Soap Ariana & Evans Peach & Cognac
Brush BOTI 26mm Silvertip
Razor Gillette Fatboy F4 (Setting 9-7-7)
Blade Gillette Silver Blue 4th
Post & Aftershaves Ice Water + Thayers + Hyaluronic + Clubman Brandy Spice
A very good scent from the soap. The performance was satisfactory...
Shave with razor paired with the blade was good but somehow less efficient. Nicely smooth and comfortable for 3passes without any issues for between dfs to ccs result. Super post & aftershaves. Rating 9.5/10

Greetings,

(Vintage DE Week.)

Another new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

I haven't gave my vintage DE razors a run out for a while. Starting the weekend of in style with my 1940's flat bottom tech paired together with the Gillette NOS 94 blades which i have infrequently used made a smooth non-aggressive yet efficient, vintage duo.

A very comfortable shave 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable /near BBS shave with no errors to report...The vintage Gillette 'NOS 94' SSP blade performance was brilliant slicing through my stubble with effortless ease...Finishing the shave off with small dollop of Morrisons ~ Fresh Aloe Moisture Lotion.

My face & feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.😎
