Load from soap and Lather in bowl. Nice lather but weak on scent. Of all my 4 Catie's soaps...this one underperform.
Shave with razor and blade pairing was great but...
Set 9 for 1st wtg
Set 7 for 2nd xtg/atg, nicked a bump
Set 5 for 3rd pass atg/xtg but not enough...too mild at set 5 so...
Pickup pass crank-up to set9 for atg and immediately picked up 3 weepers...hahaha. Somehow when 1st use of a Vintage sure some weepers.
Alum stopped all weepers and nick but minor feedback.
Overally was good session but just a DFS result. Rating 8/10 today.

Razor - H&SCo N075 machined
Blade - Astra SP
Brush - Grizzly Bay "Salazar" 26mm Fanchurian 2-band badger
Cream - Dr. Jon's 13
A/S - OneBlade aftershave balm

Today's shave ended up turning out very well, when I wasn't sure it would. This was my first use of the N075, and I have to admit, I was kind of expecting something different. With the blade gap and neutral exposure, I was envisioning something pretty mild but still efficient, but this is an efficient shaver with noticeable blade feel and some aggression. It wasn't uncomfortable at the start, but it wasn't how I thought it would feel, and by the time I did more ATG-type strokes on my neck at the end, it wasn't feeling particularly great. Overall just more aggression than I would've liked. The angle was however easy to find; as I said, it's got good efficiency; and this handle is very very comfortable and easy to control. When I was done, my face actually wasn't very red at all, and after the balm application, it felt very good. So I did get a wonderfully close shave. I'll spend the week with this razor, trying different blades and whatnot, and more fully evaluate it by the end. I don't dislike it at all, just don't know if it's necessarily a daily driver-type razor for me.
