Lovely shave with this setup. Surprised with the performance of the Williams mug soap. Not as much residual slickness as other artisan soaps but all in all for $1.00 a puck a lovely slick shave.

I just picked up the EJ, and I actually really enjoyed my shave with it, despite some not-so-stellar moments. It's a beautiful looking razor, it's easy to find the angle, and it gave me a nice, close shave that was pretty comfortable. The so-so aspect was the blade; Sharks have long been my go-to, but lately I've been finding them tuggy and not so smooth. I'm wondering if I got a bad series of tucks, because they've been like this for multiple razors I've tried them in recently but used to be great for me. I've been having great success with Astra SPs lately, so that might become my new standby. I'll try one of those in the 3One6 next. But overall so far the razor seems like it'll be a pleasure to use. Kinda blade-y, but easy to shave with.

Greetings,

A relaxing sunday morning shave..

It's been a while since i last used my vintage flat bottom tech i had all intentions of using my vintage gillette slim twist, but changed my mind at the last minute when i realised i hadn't used the flat bottom tech in ages....What i personally like about the gillette tech is they are such smooth shavers, especially the earlier models, i couldn't pick my favourite, among them, because each and everyone that i have is a joy to shave with. However the 40's & 50's models i find are slightly more assertive with the right blade choice.

The williams mug shaving soap provided a slick protective lather..My fondness for this inxpensive shaving soap grows with each shave..The post shave feel it delivers is superb.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Boots ~ Freshwood ASB.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling devine.;)

Enjoy your last sunday of 2019, Ladies & Gentlemen.😎

Does anybody know what happened to @PJO aka Patti? She was a regular SOTD poster and then abruptly stopped posting a couple months ago. I really enjoyed and now miss her contributions. I hope she’s ok.
Hmmm, I looked at her profile and it seems her last post was Oct. 11 I believe. I don't know where she's been but I'm with you, I do hope she is okay.

Every time I see the photo on the tuck of "Winner" blades I laugh. Is that tongue-in-cheek I wonder? Surely that was intended to be funny...
