First time with Reef Point soap, which lathered up beautifully slick & creamy even without recourse to my customary 'Few drops of Glycerin'; it's scent eliciting the compliments of Mrsmoo from beyond the bathroom door.

Haven't shaved since Wednesday, down with the Flu. Forced a hot shower followed by a shave this morning. It helped.

Route 66 Bourbon Jungle today. 20 seconds to load the Wild West Brushworks/Elite Manchurian White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Silver Blue in the Gillette “Black Beauty”. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Clubman Woods & Spice aftershave.

My daughter decided she was going to choose all the supplies for my shave this morning. She loves the look of the Party brush and the smell of the Stirling Orange Chill. She made the lather for me and also wanted to set up the SOTD picture. She’s only 9 but I think she may become a wet shaver when the time comes...

The Orange Chill provided a great cushioned and slick lather. I enjoyed the cooling effect of the menthol, especially post shave. Great first experience with Stirling. Thank you @rlroadie2004 for sending it to me in the Pandora’s Box PIF! The size of the Pottersong bowl and spiral bottom makes for an easy lathering of the soap.

Did my Sunday Shave with the latest delivery to the house: PAA's Space Nog soap and Cane! aftershave.

The new CK-6 formula did not disappoint, producing clouds of velvety cream. It's a chocolaty vanilla scent, rich and indeed redolent of egg nog.

Did two passes with an old Gillette Slim loaded with a new Derby blade, and got a very good quality shave.

Now, as to aftershaves, I like some menthol to make my face tingle and sting a little, but this aftershave was more like an aftershock. Maybe I poured on too much, but man, whammo! That stuff is not only very peppermint forward, but it'll make your eyes burn.

The wife liked it, and the daughter claimed she could tell where I'd been in the house from the residual scent trail I left. Twenty minutes later I was still feeling a face burn. Great, but I think I'll use about half the dose I used today the next time I break it open,.

All in all, a good quality soap and a two by four to the face aftershave. Good fun indeed.
