Wonderful Monday morning so far, I had to work this weekend and I am off today and next week at this time we will be on vacation so the countdown has begun. XXX has become one of my go to favorites, out of the 7 or 8 RazoRock Soaps I have I like this one the best, it produces awesome slick lather and I love the scent. In continuing with trying to use more of my razors I used the Super Speed this morning, I really like the razor but it is very mild, which usually results in having to do numerous passes on the sides of my neck (which are my heavy areas), all in all there was only a small amount of irritation that was quickly put to rest with the balm. I'm still on the fence as far as finding my favorite blade, I really don't think I will ever find the "one", so far the best performing blades for me are the Gillette Nacette and Voskhod, out of all the blades that I have tried those seem to produce the smoothest, tug free shaves to date. I have some Persona lab blues coming in this week that I am looking forward to trying as I have heard good reviews.

Route 66 Sweeney Todd today. 20 seconds to load the Thater Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I moved the Vintage Gillette Platinum Plus to the Black Handle Super Speed. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Bulgari Man in Black EdT.

SUNDAY OBSERVATIONS CONTINUED:

@Smooth Steve - Excellent high angle POV of an attractive, symmetrical arrangement. Nice balance of the Evolution. Also, neat support for the Nivea.
@FreddieP318ti - Beautiful composition, Freddie. Love the mug and the brush handle is exquisite.
@evnpar - Superb close-in. Love the lighting and severe cropping.
@skypsyd - Splendid presentation, Dave. Display of the soap lid is perfect.
@Joli - Appealing shave portrait, Oskar. The lighting is perfect.
@eezee - Triumphant display of a majestic shave, Erich. Did you like the Nightingale fragrance?
@PACO GALAN - Lovely arrayment, Paco. The lighting is spot on.
@theos - Terrific overhead POV with attractive swaths of blurring at top and bottom which emphasize the elements.
@Sir_Eider - Both high angle shots provide an interesting perspective on a couple of nice looking brushes. I'd like to hear more about them.
@120inna55 - Sumptuous photo, Matt. The white backdrop allows the colorful label designs to really pop. The 400 is a great choice for this photo. Superb assessment as always.
@rob_shaves - Quite a fine close up of an impressive lather, Rob. You really put that brush and bowl to good use.
@jerrylee101 - Handsome setup, Jerry. How was the Shea Moisture Shave Cream's performance? I've hear that it is more a brushless cream.
@EzraCobb - Fabulous layout photo, Jamie. Smart looking design. Looks to be one fine shave.[/QUOTE]

It is absolutely a brushless cream, you could work it all day and not work up a lather. I still like applying it with a brush. That being said I like the slickness of it, and it provides a good cushion for the blade. The scent however leaves a lot to be desired. Hard to explain the smell. If the scent of a soap or cream is important, skip this one, if it's not give it a try,
