SOTD Free Week August 3 to August 9 2020

It’s (temporarily) cooled down enough in the D.C. area to open the windows a little in the morning and get some fresh air - helped make this morning’s shave feel that much fresher. Nice, easy BBS today.

Soap: B&M Seville
Brush: Shave Forge horsehair/ Whipped Dog beehive
Razor: Razorock Game Changer .84
Aftershave: B&M Seville

DE SOTD, Fri, Aug 7th, 2020

Razor: Gillette Fatboy E4- Mfg 1959 4th qtr-settings 5>6>7 works like a charm.
Blade: Polsilver SI (4) sharp and smooth, 1st shave always cork only with this blade, Smooths 1st shave always.
Soap: Razorock country side- mild scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Rainbow brown whiskers 26 mm synthetic- great lather creating brush with soft tips with some back bone.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep:Cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pickups.
Post shave: Pinaud clubman with witch Hazel + a tiny dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Gillette Fatboy.

SC and LC (Rosie ) , I must say I don't use these 2 wonderful razors enough. They used to be My Mainstays . Fridays and Saturdays do not have any dedicated razors up until now BBS amazing Shave and Post feel. And as for the soap Stirling is still one of my favorites oh yeah The Vintage Gillette Spoiler is near the top of my list too

Another outstanding shave. I'm getting used to the weight of the razor and it's feeling surer in my hand. Got a great lather and a super close, comfortable shave. What more could I want? Freaking awesome.

Excellent shave! Icarus is an awesome soap base - with the red tip razor, I couldn't even feel the blade. The 7 o'clock blade is very smooth and forgiving so I find it easier around tough spots like my chin.

Scents here all go quite well together - SL is not very strong so does not linger around too much but Tris and Sundrunk are lovely together. I can predominately smell sundrunk but the darker scent from Tris complements it nicely to keep it from being too bright/citrusy.
