SOTD:
Beautiful shave this morning, its been a while since I've used the boots original shave stick. Performance wise its very similar to arko, but i find that i need to use a tiny bit more when compared to arko, but the slickness is basically identical, so overall an excellent shave stick. I wasn't too impressed with the longevity of the voshkod blade although the first few shaves were excellent, but now that the coating has worn off it's actually sharpened up a bit, so I'll definitely be doing the Excalibur club test on this one.

Decided to try this set up on a hot day with a 3d growth (mine is heavy to start with so there was a lot to take off).

Unsurprisingly no trouble cutting through the stubble.

Unsurprisingly also a few nicks but happily no irritation or rash; certainly not the full Freddy Krueger experience I'd expected. The alum stung a bit...

...but then this is also probably the closest shave I've had.

Coate’s Lime Cream today. 10 seconds to load the John’s Brushes Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette “Spoiler” Super Stainless blade still in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Country Club Classic Vetiver aftershave.
