How do you like the brush?
Asking for a friend.
It was my first brush purchase, to replace the Frank Shaving badger brush that came in my Maggard's starter kit back in 2013. Cost me $9 and hasn't shed a single hair in the 7+ years I've been using it. Fantastic backbone and has soften up extremely well. Best $9 I have ever spent in my wetshaving career

SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat w/ 6 drops of M-Bomb
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH and Osage Rub. Finished with Cremo Cooling Post Shave Balm.

Tuesday SOTD - An Extra Fine DFS with 2 passes
Today’s shave was a cautious one and the only experiment was using of a new Boar Brush from Pink Woolf. I had received this brush on Sunday evening post my shave and did the break in on the same day so that I can use it today!
Pre Shave - Forest Essentials Sandalwood and Orange Peel pre shave oil
Brush - Pink Woolf Boar Brush with 25 mm knot
Shaving Soap - Forest Essentials Sandalwood and Orange Peel Shaving Cream
Bowl - Pink Woolf ceramic lathering bowl
Razor - Edwin Jagger DE89 Chrome finish
Blade - Gillette 7 o’clock Super Platinum (black one proudly made in India) on 3rd use
Post Shave - Running cold water splash along will application of alum
After Shave - Pink Woolf Oudh and Sandalwood aftershave lotion
I had a two pass shave today with a minor touch up post completion of 2 passes (WTG & XTG). Used the Pink Woolf boar brush for the first time today. A 25 mm knot brush did shed a few hairs (which I believe is natural) but produced a slick and voluminous lather for a comfortable two pass shave. Boar brushes hold a good amount of water when broken down and that indeed helps in holding the lather and application of the same evenly across the face. Also the overall and the loft height is just about perfect for ricochet and splaying the lather!
Rest all items were tried and tested and hence produced great results and enabled me get an extra fine DFS shave without any nick or cut!
Next shave is tomorrow morning which needs to be very cautious one being consecutive days!

It amazes me each time i use the MWF just how good of a protective slick lather they create, it's a shame that some people have skin irritation issues with them...I count myself fortunate that I'm not one of them.
Another comfortable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.
Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Groomed ~ Post Shave Balm.
My face is feeling Cool, super smooth & smelling Divine.

Good lather result. Thick and slick. Comfortably produced by the great badger brush.
Shave with razor paired with blade was quite good. Smooth. Comfortable. Sharp. Didn't realized it until the shark bite....and another bite! Unexpected attack from the bottom! 2 weepers immediately after the 1st pass. Was more careful and completed 3 multiple passes with unexpected BBS result. Icy water rinse followed by Thayers.
Finally use the alum to stem the blood before more sharks appear...
Soothed by Hyaluronic and cauterized by AV Musk. Could have score higher rating but bitten twice by the shark...rating only 9/10!
