the old thin blade was a bit draggy at first but I put that up to not showering before the shave. ATG 2nd pass was very smooth once the whiskers softened up some.
The combo of inauguration, rose and Tres Matres made for a delightful flower forward spring shave.

COMMENT: Elsewhere on Badger&Blade I have reviewed the Boker Tallowate Tobacco soap ( follow link), great soap. The Semogue SOC 2-band is new to my brush collection, nice knot. I have a couple of other, high end 2-bands, but I think Semogue makes really nice brushes in comparison. Semogue are very good at getting knot proportions just right, and handles are ergonomical gems too (for me, those I have anyway), though my favourite handle is not the SOC, but the octagonal type found on for example the Semogues 620 and 730. This is my first SOC ... I like it!

Two-passes only resulting in mostly DFS with a mix of CCS/SAS across the lower part of my neck. A little less feedback than previous shaves, and far less discomfort. A definite overall improvement by taking it steep tonight.

I decided to do a Tabac Tuesday. The RR400 was excellent match for the Tabac, creating lots of lather. As usual, the KCG blade was sharp and smooth. A very pleasant shave.

Very nice lather quality from the soap. Pleasant scent, creamy and slick!
Shave with razor paired with the blade with a shim was just manageable for 2.5 passes without any weepers and mostly ccs result...pheeww, I am glad! Excellent aftershaves though.
