Razor : Gillette Fatboy E4. Mfg 1959 4th qtr, any range of aggression. I like using this razor other than the blade tab overhang that can nick a person every once in a while. This razor is well built to last generations and I truly enjoy using it on my birthday year. Bought this razor at a antique store for a decent price($20 Can) & I finally have my birth year razor + I think my father owned also a slim or Fatboy. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Personna Red(2) sharp and smooth. Top tier blade IMO of 7 variants.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, very unique scented soap with excellent lather qualities. Excellent soap in all matters.
Brush : Yaqi "barber pole" 2band badger, Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, very nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Great handle for folks who like that and this 2band knot is 2nd to none in my collection.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG(7)+ ATG(7) + pickups(9 setting).
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : Dial 10 stellar.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=:a17: Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Gillette Fatboy with a Personna red blade.

SV Saturday
Semogue Saturdays!

Hello friends

A cloudy and busy Saturday. Since I like to shave calmly, I opted for a night shave with my favorite products; SV Desert Vetiver, Semogue Pegasus Mistura, Greencult 2.0 IV and a brand new Gillette Silver Blue. Spectacular. I finished with Malizia Uomo AS and the classic of classics Guerlain Vetiver EdT.

With us, the brilliant Chet Baker.

Rating: 10

Have a nice evening and great shaves!

Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Cien Moisture Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Cella extra extra Bio shaving cream.
Blade: Gillette Nacet. (D2)
Razor: King C Gillette.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, /Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Cella Bio Organic Aloe Vera ASL./Bulldog Original Moisturiser.

Greetings,

The Cella extra extra Bio shaving cream provided a wonderful lather this vegan version is equally as good to it's tallow sibling and like the tallow version it's slick protective and doesn't dry out and leaving my mature rhino skin type feeling hydrated and smooth. The mild-light fresh & Citrusy ASL is very pleasing leaving a good post shave feel.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Bulldog Original Moisturiser.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

SOTD from India

There was not enough shaving cream left in the tube. I went to kitchen and took out my rolling pin and rolled it hard over the tube. Got more than one time worth's shaving cream out. Used it all and made a thick yoghurt kind of lather.

Used Glatz blade with this Gillette Speed clone. You can check in the pics that the blade alignment is very good. I found Glatz to be a blade which is sharp without any roughness. I won't call it smooth, I will say it glides very well on the skin without being rough or hurting and cutting everything with its sharp edge. This is on my next mail call

Finally opened BOTNIC Essentials aftershave (2nd pic). I bought it a year ago. It's pretty good, I liked it. Check the ingredients here on amazon. Finished with Sirona post wax & shave gel

A bit of irritation around the neck but cheeks and chin region was like as if I did not even shave there. Going to use this blade+razor combination again tomorrow before going to office.

Razor: Sedef Shavette
Blade: Lord Super Chrome (Half Blade, 1st use)
Brush: Omega 48
Cream: Proraso Blue
Alum: Nice Cool
Aftershave: Intesa

First ever shave with a shavette, worked out quite well! No cuts or irriration, only one tiny dot of blood, and fairly mild feedback from the alum block. Did two and a bit passes, quite close and smooth in some spots, a little less close in other spots. I definitely have lots to learn but it felt fairly intuitive. I bought this shavette last year, and I will admit that I had to build up the courage these seven months, but I'm glad I took a step outside of my comfort zone.
