Another day in paradise and another stellar shave with the Overlander. No issues, only a great shave. Every item used performed well.
The 7 O'Clock blade was extremely smooth. To me, it seems that this blade offers a smooth shave, and it prioritizes smoothness over ultimate sharpness. I'm glad I got to try these out! Wonderful shave!

Razor : Yaqi SLOPE 316 SS torsional slant with brass nickel coated handle. Mfg 2022> mild to tame mid range. Interesting design for a slant that seems to work well(sloped safety bar to match the machined base plate gap.) for my shaving needs. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Perma-sharp (2) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Yaqi "Black Pearl" nice mild fragrance with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Ever helpful" 22mm 2 band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, some back bone for scrubbing + great lather painter. Good little scrubber because of shorter loft with a dense 2band real badger knot.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Black pearl splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :
or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=

Interchangable Baseplate Razor August (IBRA 2024)
Hello friends
It's a clear night in this part of the world. I chose the good old Cella Red to accompany me today. With it, a new brush that is starting to give me some pleasure and makes me imagine that it will give me much more, Semogue Pegasus Boar. Inspired by the great theme of this week's SOTD, I chose a blade that I had never used and that is nevertheless the best-selling one here, the Brazilian Wilkinson Sword
manufactured at the P&G factory in Manaus, Amazonas. It inspires polarized feelings, it's the kind of blade that you usually either love or hate. I confess that I found it quite smooth, but not very sharp. With it, I used the razor with which I judge the new blades: Greencult 2.0 II, because it is my standard. I finished with the splendid Floïd The Genuine.In keeping with the atmosphere of the event, instead of jazz, today I accompanied my shave with samba, by the brilliant Jorge Ben Jor

Today (yet again) I tweaked the adjustment up another half-step (from 5.5 to 6). There was certainly more "blade feel" but the shave was still smooth—smooth—smooth.
This is the most fun razor I've ever used AND the best one. Lucky me!
