Sunday Schick shave, May 28th 2023

Razor : Schick E2 injector, Canadian variant - Mfg 1930's - 40's, mid range, well made to last many generations with a little care.
This is one of my favorite injectors, very nimble and its a nice change up every week to use a injector. Had a close shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE (7) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Razorock Don Marco, nice citrus scent strength 5/10 with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Purple haze" 24 mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber(Razorock) Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave this morning with my Schick E2 with a coated Personna blade.

An excellent shave.

Well, the Knockout is still my top favorite closed comb razor; so the Athena has come in at second place.

The main points where the Knockout beats the Athena (for me) are:

• Its superior waste drainage system (used lather and cut whiskers go directly under the blade, all the way to the other side of the razor [less messy and less need to flip the razor from side to side so often between rinses])
• It's much more nimble and easy to maneuver (partly due to its light weight: 26.6 grams loaded)
• The blade to handle angle is bigger, i.e. closer to 90° (so it's easy to shave steep [without the handle touching the face/neck all the time])

I love my Knockout.
