Hi Ron, hope you fell better today.
Nice set, especially that very colorful and beautiful brush and the Rockwell, do you use the Rockwell in the 6, isn't very agressive?
How is the Rockwell in the 3 comparable with the Muhle R89 or with her sister Edwin Jagger R89 is it equal or more milder/much more milder ?
I ask you this question because I have some curiosity about the Rockwell 2C that only has in the head the numbers 1 and 3 and in the 1 everybody says is to milder
;)

Thank you. Still working long hours on my part-time editing project but I am feeling better. I do like to use that Elite brush every once it a while. It's more than just a pretty face.

The Rockwell is an exceptional razor. The 6S, which I have, is among my top three DEs, along side the Timeless and Blackbird. Currently it's my most used razor edging out the other two by about three shaves each. I started shaving with the 3 plate because the 1 and 2 were just too mild. To me the Rockwell's 3 plate feels about as comfortable as the Mühle or EJ but is much more efficient. It is definitely not milder than the R89 or EJ. I quickly upped to plates 4 and 5. For the last few months I've stayed at plate 6. It's extremely efficient but doesn't feel aggressive. I don't think I've ever gotten a weeper using it. I easily get a BBS using the Rockwell.

I've never tried the Rockwell 2C but I would imagine it gives a very good shave with the 3 plate. Being a zinc alloy the 2C would be a less weighty razor than the stainless steel 6S.

Superb work, gentlemen: photos, descriptive posts, and comments all of the highest quality. I had expected to be making comments of my own this evening but a later than usual commitment to my part-time editing gig threw a wrench into my plans. And I have to get up early in the morning. We'll see what tomorrow brings....

Great head shave tonight:
Colgate soap grated and Skin Bracer soaked, lathered well with the Muhle Silverfibre V2. Birth year and quarter Black Beauty set to 5 on a Feather (3). Lemon Thayers followed by Skin Bracer and topped off with Nivea Cooling ASB.

I think I'll have to repeat this combo again and see how it goes as it was 3 pass BBS with no irritation.

My late morning shave:

Parker 65R
Gillette Yelow 7 O's
Godrej Sensitive
Omega 49 Pro
Home Made Alum
Loreal Post shave Balm

The Godrej Cream lathers really quickly into a really nice lather- I think it would make a very fool proof learning lather and I might be wrong, but the scent made me think of La Troja, maybe Lea sensitive but I think La troja (I think out of memory- I might be wrong). It was the first use of the Parker and it shaved really nice with a lot of acoustic feedback. The feedback is a lot. Then with the fact that I could feel the blade on my skin I was super cautious- But the shave was good... anyways, there it is for my day, enjoy yours...
