As luck would have it, just in time for Canadian Week, my โcurrentโ favorite razor thatโs getting all my love lately is a postwar (NDC) fat handle Tech, made in Canada.
Iโve now collected several Techs; from early (triangle slot) fat handle, to postwar fat handles, to โ50s ball end. This particular combo - Canadian postwar fat handle + Lord Platinum blade - gives me hands down the best shave of the lot.
Blade: Polsilver (3)
Preshave: Razor Emporium PreShave
Soap: Areffa, Kentucky Bourbon
Aftershave: Kentucky Bourbon Splash
Proraso White Balm: On neck area and 10 minutes after using splash on face
Brush: C&H 'Eyespot'
Soap: Black Watch
Razor: Gillette New LC
Blade: Wizamet (4)
Post: Black Watch Tonic
Good shave this morning, this Wizamet is done at 4, good effort though. The star of this one was the brush, just received yesterday and it's excellent. Loft is just about perfect for me, nice backbone with a decent splay, happy days.
2nd consecutive day with this new razor (for me). I must admit, there is some blade feel, but not like it is a lot more than with some of my other razors. So very smooth shave, now the lookout for the right blade for this razor can start.
