Comments	Another shave with the Karve with a C plate loaded with a Wizamet blade. This is a nice combo. The result was a close, smooth shave with no nicks, cuts, or irritation. Today I am using the shaving brush I have had for the longest time: a Hoffritz badger. In addition to being my oldest brush, it is also the smallest. A nice shave.

SE SOTD, Friday, June 2nd 2023

Razor : Yaqi SE Excalibur 50mm AC type with Yaqi Milano polished 316SS handle- Mfg 2021>, mild to tame mid range, simple clamping design, small head parts( I like to work over a wash cloth!) + affordable. This little head gives some of the best shaves for myself and like to use it regularly to enjoy it for daily shaving rotation. This is a daily shaver for myself! Had a close no issues shave this morning.
Blade : Schick proline p30, 50mm (1)- sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity for a AC type blade IMO.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier, nice scented soap(Aramis?) + excellent lather qualities. Designed for Yaqi soap and fragrance product line by Master soap creations S.A.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft split end boar bristles, great splay scrubber + great lather painter. Nice brush to work the face and always enjoy the look of this brush handle with this knot.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel beard cleanse + Yaqi Musketeer Rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a excellent shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur 50mm razor with a Schick proline p30.

My SS Mellon and Beard Lube trials are going well.

Actually seeing exactly what I'm doing via the translucent cream is still quite an unexpected shock each shave so far. Also, I started by re-applying the cream for my second pass... now I'm just wetting my face and it's plenty slick for the second pass. My skin appears to be really enjoying it too.
