As promised, we are kicking off our October theme week. This week let's see your gorgeous artisan made shaving goodies! I'm starting off with both soap and a whisker scraper both from artisans...
Just picked up this scuttle and it came with the soap and a throw away boar brush. It was the soap maker selling it at an antique mall. I wanted to like the soap, I really did but it really didn't make a robust lather.
Razor: Gillette New 1934
Blade: Shark 2nd Day
Soap: Local Artisan Goat Milk Soap
Scuttle: Unknown Handmade
After Shave: Pinaud Lime Sec
'59 Fat Boy set on 8
Perma Sharp Super blade
Col. Conk Badger brush
TOBS Mr. Taylors Cream
Pre: Acure conditioner plus
glycerin added to lather.....
Second shave with this blade, one of my favorites.
Lather was fantastic, and this razor is great, recently
inherited from my uncle's estate. It is in practically mint condition....
I am practicing using it turned up high as I want to test these blades in
it and see how many shaves i can pull off this time...
Stirling Scots Pine Soap, Krampert's Frostbite, and my Jay's Clay Bowl.
Monday
Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Pig Trail Soap Soap: Stirling Scots Pine Sheep Razor: 66 Gillette Slim Blade: Personna Med Prep (1)
Brush: Omega 6192 Badger Aftershave: Kramperts Frostbite
WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)
5th shave with the Gillette Slim. Set it on 7 today so I decided to load a new Personna Med Prep. I also returned to my Stirling Scots Pine today. The Omega badger and the Scots Pine liked each other. I had a great shave: close, nick & burn free. I could really feel the difference with the razor set on 7 today. I finished up with Kramperts Frostbite to see how I did on 7. All is well
