I figured since this was my thread, I’d better finish off Anglophile Week properly! This shave is all English.

I started off with a Simpsons Duke 3 and a puck of Mitchell’s Wool Fat in a Connaughts wood bowl. Then I grabbed my mint #66 Bristish Aristocrat and a fresh vintage English London Bridge blade for the cutting duties. I then topped it,off with a touch of TOBS Sandalwood. Nice shave! All English!

One of my most loved vintage, the Knockout razor (1938?).
Quite rare these days. The box came with a marvelous design.
I think they produced blades too, and with the blades came a card with a famous boxer.
Anyway: this razor is a great shaver and has a unique place in razor history.
I don't use it often, because I treat the box with extreme care.
If you look at the box, I'm sure you'll appreciate my mothering

I loaded up the wonderful 1912 Ever Ready again, after too long an abscence from my rotation.

I still consider this to be arguably one of the finest safety razor systems ever designed. A remarkable performer.

A wonderful 3 passer gave me a smoothness comparable, I can only imagine to a SR shave.

A pleasure to use and an almost flawless result.

A small patch of jawline under my right ear was missed, due to user error.

But, basically a BB result everywhere else. Superb!
