Feeling much better today. Just made a 2 pass shave. Wasn’t looking for BBS, just enough to knock the whiskers back for any couple days.

This is my second go at the Permasharp blade. I’m not too impressed. I don’t feel that it’s very sharp. It’s smooth but not sharp. Does that make sense?

This was a delightful shave today after taking a break from shaving yesterday. The new brush fits perfectly in my hand, & the Best knot has a great face feel. The King C. Gillette gave a sharp, smooth shave.

The Christopher Bradley is one of my favorite razors.

Shave 23: Original top cap.

I like this top cap. Some people don’t because it leaves the blades edges exposed. I find that with the exposed edges, I have more control during the shave and razor maintenance. The threaded bolt is a little longer than most razors. It does take a few more turns to screw on and off. However I do like to pinch the bolt with my thumb and forefinger to move it around. Especially when there is still a blade resting in it.

Shave 24: Solid bar A plate.

Mild plate. Probably a little to mild for a full face shave. However, it is nice on the sensitive neck areas.

Shave 25: Solid bar B plate.

Now we’re getting into the daily driver range. It’s still a little on the mild side. two passes with some touch up gives me a DFS.

Shave 26: Solid bar C plate.

This one is solid in my daily driver range.

Shave 27: Solid bar D plate.

This is where I need to start slowing down in the neck area. But for longer stubble, it’s a winner.

Shave 28: 1 1/4 inch handle.

I like the length and balance. The standard threads are well cut. It gives this razor a higher grade feeling, than some other razors in it’s price rang.

Shave 29: Proraso red original formula in the tub.

Classic, like the scent a lot. Good performer. Relatively inexpensive. So far, the red is my favorite from the proraso line.

The Weishi blade wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t comfortable either. Not sharp enough, & certainly not smooth enough for my liking.

I have to stop waiting for the 2nd or 3rd shave on a blade to use the 1911. It is so much more aggressive than my others that it almost give a false feeling of blade sharpness. No real irritation, but I’d went for more than a 2 pass I would have been bloody!

Aftershave, Sterling Soap Company Nag Champa sample

it’s a pleasant scent. And it has some staying power. I used very little and I still could smell it at 11 AM. Cold weather sent for me.

I don’t think I would wear it when I’m in a meeting. It could be a little overpowering.
