"Some roads aren't meant to be travelled alone"

Nice story

Gotta' LOL at the final comment...

"By the way, if you ever wonder who has the more unconditional love for you, put your spouse and your dog in the trunk of the car for one hour. When you open it, who's still happy to see you?"

That my friend is a killer story. I've been to Scotland a few times and each time I go, I stop to see the Greyfriar's Bobby...Its a can't miss sight.

I've got two dogs myself...lifelong companions.

Blue was lucky to have had you as a friend and brother!

:scared:

What kind of animal would put their dog in the trunk?!?!?!

Good post. I had seen it before.

We had to put our lab/GSD mix down probably more than three years ago now. I still miss her every day.

Nature is cruel to give dogs such short life spans compared to their masters--cruel to the masters. Geez, even if a dog dies essentially of old age, it is like having, say, a 12 year old child slowly sicken and pass away!

I do not think the dogs are bothered though. One great lesson dogs have for humans is that they live fully in the moment. No dog ever worried about the eventual finality of its existence.
