What's new

Some razors just don't hold their value...

We are talking about the immediate future.
In the very long term their value won't decrease as much.
When they become "vintage", I'm sure, the value of some of them will skyrocket.

Do bear in mind that when we are discussing the scale of razor where “holding its value” is a concern, we are talking about first world luxury goods.

Most people who are ready, willing, and able to spend three digits in USD, or an equivalent amount of Euros, Pounds, or whatever their currency, well, they’ll just as soon spend the extra and get a -new- first world luxury product for their expenditure.

In order to convince the picky average buyer for such a nice razor to purchase used, a deep discount is often required. This, the rapid loss of the top x% of “value”.
