Holy crap bro'. Extreme makeover safety razor edition!

If you don't mind sharing, how did you do it? What products/processes are you using?

I played around with this batch.

-Started with several good soakings of Scrubbing Bubbles while they sat in a Tupperware container (allowing the excess to pool in the container).
-Scrubbed them thoroughly with a toothbrush
-Put them back in the container (with excess Scrubbing Bubbles still in), coated with a healthy amount of dish soap, filled it with hot water, and let them sit for about 4 hours.
-Scrubbed them thoroughly

Wasn't perfectly happy with the Flare-tip, so I tried putting it in a coffee cup, then pouring in boiling water, letting it sit until the water cooled, then scrubbing. Didn't really do anything.

-Finished up with a couple of cycles of spraying Kaboom and brushing the Superspeed and Flare-tip.

A helpful thing I've found is to use a toothpick to get at verdigris in hard-to-reach places, like behind the guard or in handle grooves.

I'm really enjoying the cleanup process! It's fun to get hold of things most people would think are junk and breathe new life into them.

z1 thanks for sharing. You did a phenomenal job! I'm still in shock. I'm hitting up some estate sales and antique stores this weekend to hunt for some vintage, if all goes well I anticipate I'll need to do some similar work.

Thanks! I see patience is another ingredient I've seen to be missing when cleaning mine

Wow, Sir you are the Razor Whisperer! I especially like the Aristocrat and how it came out looking brand new. That is a labor of love.

it's amazing how well they clean up. it's a good thing that the less knowledgeable sellers (read: some ebay sellers) don't realise how well they clean up, otherwise they'd probably put their prices up.

I had a FatBoy like that. It wasn't quite the level of hidden gem as yours were but it was pretty nasty and didn't scrub up too badly at all.
