I have a Semogue 2000 and is a soft brush, but it's needed to use it until the tips are broken, about 15 days, when the tips are broken is a very soft brush but firm.
I have an omega, rebranded Men-Ü, and is a soft brush too, but firmer than semogue because it has shorter hairs
All boar brushes start of skritchy, but after 2 weeks to a month of use, the tips will soften up very nicely and continue to get softer for a while.
To speed up the break-in process, you can shampoo and condition the brush (using regular hair conditioner left on for a few minutes at a time) and make test lathers.
