Soft Badgers

So, I'm really a bit of a brush newbie. The only two respectable brushes I own are the SOC Boar and SOC 2 band badger.

I used my SOC Boar to face lather soaps for about 6 months and was quite satisfied with it until I happened across a SOC 2 band that I was able to trade for. The day I first lathered the 2 band, I was sold on badgers and never looked back. That was about 4 months ago. Recently, I went back to the boar for a couple shaves and it's true that the badger lathers better, but the boar feels far better on my face. The boar is soft and luscious. I feel like I could rub it on my face all day without any irritation. The badger has over a hundred shaves under it but is still a bit scritchy for my face. But, lather wise, there's no debate. The badger lathers like a monster.

So, here's my question: Does there exist badger brushes with plenty of backbone suitable for face lathering hard soaps with tips as soft as a well broken in SOC boar?

i use shavemac's D01 23x47 & D01 24X52 both brushes have great backbone and soft tips, i use both for either bowl or face lathering,
quality,fit & finish of the shavemac's are excellent {probably the best out there}

Morris & Forndran's "Blonde Badger" (not cheap, though)

TGN's two-band (terrific and affordable)

Simpson's Best (members report differences depending on the batch; mine are great)

Simpson's Super

Rooney's Super

Edwin Jagger's Silvertip (for a bit more backbone, the "medium" one, though it could be a bit small)

I don't want to confuse OP but there are other options if you want soft bristles.

I have a comparison for my stick lathering brushes here http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/359040-Stick-brushes-shootout . These are the brushes I compare and the results may come as a surprise:

Of the brushes I use for facelathering pucks I would wholeheartedly recommend the Thäter silvertip three band 26 mm. It is dreamlike soft even in this company:

Thanks for all of your replies. Of those who did reply, so that you can compare directly, do any of you currently own a SOC boar?

IMO the TGN Finest 2 band and Simpson Super have a soft feel. My Simpsons chubby 2 and Persian jar 3 have good backbone allowing them to be used for hard soaps while having a nice soft feel while face lathering. Unfortunately their pricey. I bought a SOC boar about a month ago and haven't touched my badgers except for traveling which I use a simpson classic 1 in best.
