Soaps that melt

I really like making my own shaving sticks(I like to add my own cologne and aftershaves) and was wondering what other soaps melt really easy? I have only tried VDH. I think col conks melts easy but not sure? Also looking for soaps that are fragrance free but will try other kinds, I wouldnt mind trying to add witch hazel to those ones. Any help would be appreciated.

Generally, any soap that is a glycerine based should soap should melt without any problem. I think some the custom soap manufacturers such as The Gentleman's Quarter makes unscented soaps for sale. Or you could some research and start making your own. Others here on the forum have done similarly IIRC.

I would say don't melt the soap. Use a peeler or a grater. That way you have more input on the way your soap turns out.

The Classic Brand soaps from Classic Shaving melt. I just combined a lavender with a menthol and formed it to the bottom of my mug. I had never thought of doing that until I saw this thread.

I think I just turned two forgettable soaps into something useable.
